The Cherokee Valley Golf Academy offers one, two, and three-day sessions, including the Golf Academy Short Game School, and custom-tailored private instruction packages. Cherokee Valley is also the host site for the world’s leader in golf instruction the John Jacobs Golf School. All of the programs include state-of-the-art video analysis. Whether you are new to the game or a low handicapper, we have a program that will help you play better golf!
The Academy features one of the greatest golf staffs in the country: former National Director for the Golf Digest Schools, Dave Maga; Augusta National Golf Professional, Bob Kletcke; and South Carolina Section PGA Certified Professional, Brian Gordner.
The Cherokee Valley Golf Academy is proud to offer a full range of services. PGA Certified Teaching Professional Brian Gordner will be conducting all instruction. When you take advantage of our Golf Academy facilities, you will quickly improve your game while learning the skills you need to become your own golf coach in the future, continuing to improve even after you leave the school!
A LA CARTE INSTRUCTION
Private Instruction
45 minute sessions includes V1 video swing analysis.

Academy Fitting
New Equipment Sales & Fitting
We sell and fit most of the major brands including Ping, Callaway, Titleist, Adams and Taylormade. Our custom fit fee is $40 per 1/2 hour. 50% of the fitting fee will be credited back against the purchase of your new equipment. Call the Club at 1-800-531-3634 for more information.

- We custom fit EVERYTHING we sell BEFORE you buy it and then AGAIN when we take delivery to make sure the equipment has been manufactured per the specifications of your fitting session.
- We use Vector Pro technology to verify and validate optimum launch conditions and “gapping” of clubs.
- Our customers test equipment off real turf where they can see ball flight and compare various brands “on course conditions”.
Owned Equipment
If you are not in the market for new golf clubs but would like to have your current set of equipment checked for impact data, correct length, lie, loft, shaft flex etc. with our custom fit technician and Vector Pro technology call us to make an appointment. Our custom fitting fee is $40 per 1/2 hour.
Practice Facilities
Cherokee Valley offers chipping areas, practice sand bunkers, and a 300-plus yard driving range with six large target greens. Our large practice putting green is perfect for working on your short game and our protected hitting bays allow you to practice in all kinds of weather.
Cherokee Valley’s knowledgeable staff—certified by PGA —can analyze your swing or give you pointers whenever you need help.
